Shows!
So this week, on Tuesday, Feb. 10th we'll be playing with Survay Says!, Carousel Kings, and a bunch of other bands. Show is at 5 PM (we go on around 8 PM) at DV8 in Providence (the old Dive Bar). We're working on bringing a couple new songs from the album to our set that we haven't gotten in yet, and some variations on other old favorites. Gonna be fun to play with Survay Says. Here's the Facebook Event Page with Address/Times/All Info. We're also in the works for confirming a huge show in Boston, and an interesting move in April for RI shows. As soon as those are confirmed, we'll be announcing them.
Videos!
The last video we did was "Fug on the Rooftop", our Christmas prank this year. I'm actually working on a much longer version of it, as we wanted to keep it around 15 minutes and had to cut a lot of jokes. I don't know when or where that will be released. Right now, Brad and I are writing the new first new scripted Senior Discount comedy video that's been done in a while. We were asked to participate in a short film festival in Providence with Hank Sinatra Jr. AKA Adam Theroux, so we'll be premiering a new video in Providence at the AS220 live on May 1st. Super excited for that. It's going to revolve around the two newest members of the band, Abe and Macksoud. Filming will begin soon. I'd actually like to maybe release something sooner but we'll see.
Podcast!
Last week we released a podcast with Abe, and Brian Decoteaux from the Candace Brooks Band. We talked about the new Louis CK special, Fat Mike's new punk musical, the Ghostbusters casting, the new movie Project Almanac, the Less Than Jake/Reel Big Fish show in Boston, the game Sunset Overdrive, the Super Bowl and we placed bets on what the matches will be at Wrestlemania. You can check out the podcast here. We will be reaching Episode 200 of the podcast in about a week, and that's super exciting. Some cool stuff going on for that to support local artists that we'll announce soon.
In other news, we have a new t-shirt design that we'll debuting soon, and again, really hoping for some solid shows this Spring! Also, for the 200th episode of the podcast, Brad and I will be interviewed (as opposed to interviewing someone else), and we'll be taking questions from Facebook, Twitter, email, etc. So if you have any ideas for talking points or questions for us, hit us up in any way, including writing to chuckandbrad@gmail.com !
